Geldings hold a special place in the show ring. As most say, Stallions are from Mars, Mares are from Venus, but Geldings are from Heaven. They are some of the best horses for anyone to show.
2001 Buckskin Gelding AMHR Registered- 33.75" tall Purchased from D & H Long Branch Huey was our past herd sire on Rhinestone Miniatures Farm. He was our first registered mini and introduced us to the competative world of showing. Huey excels in jumping, hunter, pleasure cart, and roadster. He also competes well in the halter ring. Some of his acheivements is 2006 National Top Ten All Star in Ladies Pleasure Cart, 2006 National Top Ten All Star in Ladies Roadster, 2006 MWMHSPO High Point Senior A Stallion, 2006 Reserve Champion Stallion, 2007 Reserve Champion Stallion, and several ponts earned in jumping and hunter. 2007 National Top Ten All Stars in Adult Costume 38" & under, 2007 National Top Ten All Stars in Open Hunter 34" and under. ****Huey has been retired early from showing. He was recently diagnosed with Cushing's disease at such a young age. We are treating him with a special diet and medication in hopes he'll have a long life in our pasture. He was is a wonderful horse to have around.**** |
2000 Sorrel and White Pinto Gelding AMHA/AMHR Registered- 33.00" tall Purchased from Pheasant Run Stables We purchased this awesome gelding from Pheasant Run Stables. He has a trot to die for with natural knee popping action. Kirby took reserve in the pleasure stakes class at our 2007 show. This was his first time in the cart showing! He also took 2nd in the MWMHSPO 2007 Gelding Incentive Program. |
1996 Sorrel Gelding This little guy got me started into the miniature horse world. I purchased him in June 2000 at a meat auction for $60. I didn't have a clue what to do with him, but quickly learned by taking driving lessons and using what I learned from 4-H. Our first show was in August of 2000. He unanimously took Grand Champion Stallion and 4th in cart out of 13 horses. Our second year showing, we took Reserve Champion Stallion and 3rd in cart. I showed him in several open shows until I became involved in showing registered miniatures. Braveheart is a wonderful mini and I fell in love with him immediately. He still does an occasional cart ride or parade. He will have a home for life here. |
2005 sorrel and white appalooosa gelding AMHA/AMHR Registered-33.75" Purchased from A Summer Place Minaitures We are excited to get our first appaloosa gelding! He'll start his show career this year. We're excited to start performance showing with him and see his abilities in the show ring. Watch for him in the 2008 show season! ***Chase won 2008 Best of the West IMHC Senior Gelding. We also took Supreme Champion at that show! On our way to a successful show career!*** |
